ال-“Battle Rap” أو ما سنطلق عليه تسمية “مباراب” هو أحد أركان ثقافة الهيب هوب منذ نشأته بحيث يقوم على مقارعة خصمك كلامياً و اهانته بكل ما تثنى لديك من نكات و اهانات من خلال السخرية من حياته الشخصية،مظهره، أفعاله، طريقة كلامه، إلخ. و كل ذلك من أجل إبراز تفوقك الكلامي عليه و محاولات كسب ود الجمهور و ترفيه
و قد زار لبنان مؤخراً أحد أعلام هذا اللون في الراب و هو الرابر الامريكي اللبناني “Dizaster” المعروف عالمياً بحنكته، سرعة بديهته و اسلوبه الناري في الأداء و قد أراد أن يخوض التجربة بلغته الأم. و قد إختار أن يقارع أحد أبرز الأسماء على ساحة الهيب هوب العربي، الرابر اللبناني “إد” من فرقة الراب العريقة “فريق الاطرش”
المبارزة قامت على درج مار مخايل في بيروت بتاريخ ٣٠ ايار ٢٠١٥ وسط حشد متحمس لرؤية هذين العملاقين يتصارعا كلامياً لإثبات علو كعبهما.
استمتعوا بهذه المبارزة التاريخية الأولى من نوعها في العالم العربي و توقعوا المزيد في القريب العاجل!!

رسالة فريق العمل:
بطبيعة الحال، نحن ندرك أن خلق هكذا نمط من الترفيه فمنطقة يشوبها الصراع قد تخلق حساسيات لدى بعض الناس بحيث أن ال-“مباراب” يعتمد غالباً على الحدة الكلامية. و لكن نود أن يعلم الجميع أننا قد أسسنا هذا المنبر بحجة الترفيه أولاً و للتنفيس عن الاحباطات الاجتماعية و العقد المكبوتة، و السخرية من الانماط السائدة في المجتمع. و عند إنتهاء المبارزة، يقوم المؤديان بمصافحة بعضهما بود و محبة و إحترام بحيث أن تلقي هكذا نوع من الإهانة الكلامية أمام حشد هائل من الناس (و لو كان مزاحاً) برحابة صدر و روح رياضية يستحقان الاحترام. و طبعا، ثقافة الهيب هوب بعينها قائمة على الحب و الاحترام لقدرات كل فرد و شخصه و خلفيته.

The Middle East’s First Official Rap Battle League

One of the biggest Battle Rappers in the world today, Dizaster, returns back to his homeland, Lebanon to face a local legend, Edd Abbas, from the elite Hip Hop group, Fareeq El Atrash. The battle took place on May 30, 2015, at the Mar Mikhail Stairs in Beirut. This is the first time that Dizaster battles in the Arabic language, and Edd Abbas took on the challenge with less than 10 days preparation. Watch this battle as they clash in style and wit, making history as the first official Arabic Rap Battle Ever

Creating such entertainment in a conflict-zone, we are aware of all the sensitivities of different communities to such verbal aggression. We would like everyone to understand that this platform is created to firstly entertain, but even more importantly to vent the social frustrations, insecurities and stereotypes towards each other, and when it is all said and done we highly encourage the battlers to slap hands and show love. At the very end, Hip Hop here is a community, and we do this with the utmost respect of each other’s craft, character and cultural background.
